Mental Health

We recognise that mental health is as vital to success in biathlon as physical health. Together, the BIU and IBU, National Federations, and Organising Committees are working to reduce stigma, provide holistic wellbeing support, and turn commitment into meaningful action.

Our aim is to foster sustainable high-performance environments. Access to proper coaching and support, nutrition, recovery, sleep, medical care, and mental health support isn’t just a benefit – it’s a right, and a right that’s foundational to your success.

By upholding the principles of our Wellbeing Charter, the IBU ensures that when mental health and wellbeing are protected, individuals thrive, teams excel, and the sport performs at its best.
